The promise of divine healing is a cornerstone in our faith journey. It reminds us that God is always with us, even when we are in pain. The scriptures in the Bible reveal God’s heart and intent to save, heal, and deliver us from our sins, sickness, broken hearts, and from every demonic oppression. Jesus indeed came to set us free, and who He sets free is free indeed. Jesus came to save us from our sins and to heal our hearts, bodies, and spirits. Jesus bore our sins in His body on the cross, and by His wounds we have been healed according to God’s sovereign plan for us-John 8:36, Psalm 107:19, Psalm 107:20, 1 Peter 2:24.
God’s healing words in Scripture are our go-to source of comfort, refuge, encouragement, and strength when we are overwhelmed by health problems, relationship struggles, or life struggles. God’s healing words are promises that build our faith and deepen our trust in God’s healing power. Declaring God’s healing promises as revealed in the Bible is a declaration of faith and trust. Faith is not silent. We declare what we believe in our hearts. Faith gives us the boldness to keep making declarations of God’s healing words, even if it seems foolish to the world. Refuse to be silenced. Verbal declarations and heartfelt belief always go together-Romans 10:8,Romans10:9, Romans 10:10, Romans 10:11.
The realm of faith is beyond our five physical senses. We live by faith, not by what we see or experience. Our sovereign and all-powerful God is never too late to save, heal, and deliver. There is no sickness or disease He cannot heal in His power. All things, including every illness, sickness, and disease, bow at the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Healing is part of the blessings of our redemption through Jesus Christ. Jesus is still the same, yesterday and today-Philippians 2:9, Philippians 2:10, Philippians 2:11, Hebrews 13:8.
Scriptural Declarations
We can never go wrong in declaring God’s words. God’s promises are “yes and amen” in Jesus Christ. Beloved of God, don’t ever stop declaring God’s word in sickness and in health, for it is nourishment to the body and spirit-2 Corinthians 1:20, Matthew 4:4, Jeremiah 15:16, Psalm 23.
- Psalm 103:2-3: “Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits— who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases.”
- Psalm 41:3: The Lord sustains him on his sickbed; in his illness you restore him to full health.
- Psalm 6:2: “Be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am languishing; heal me, O Lord, for my bones are troubled.”
