The living faith that we have in the eternal God is also an overcoming faith. It is constantly engaged in spiritual warfare and is victorious in life and death-1 John 5:4
The believing faith in Jesus Christ is a victorious faith over the trials of life and the powers of darkness for everyone born of God is an overcomer. We are redeemed through the love and power of God to be seated in heavenly realms which is above all powers and principalities Those born of the spirit of God as Jesus explained the mystery of the new birth to Nicodemus are like the wind which blows, and no one can tell where it is coming from or going to. True followers of Christ are an enigma to the kingdom of darkness. The enemy of our souls and his agents of darkness cannot monitor our lives in the spiritual realm or determine the outcome because having been buried with Jesus Christ in baptism, we have been raised with Him through faith in the powerful working power of God that cannot be null or void-Ephesians 2:6, John 3:7, John 3:8, Colossians 2:12.
The power of God at work in our faith through Jesus Christ produces a fearless and a bold faith that the world cannot understand or defeat in life or death. The power of the resurrection is at work in us and displayed through us to the eternal praise and glory of God. The living reality of our redemption and victory in Jesus Christ should make us set our sight and desires on the things that are above the trials, temptations, spiritual warfare and standards of the world. We are not of the world though we live in the world, so we must have a missional culture to impact lives leading them to God. We are called to keep setting our sights on the realities of heaven as we declare our faith in victory-Colossians 3:1, 1 Corinthians 15:57, 1 John 5:5.
We are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ who loves us, and nothing can separate us from the love of Jesus Christ. We are therefore not called to have a mindset of defeat but of victory through the finished work of Jesus Christ. We know, understand, and declare our victory over all powers and dominions because of the victory we have through Jesus Christ, our eternal Savior and Lord. We should not live life in a state of hopelessness, and neither should we face battles in fear of defeat. We are soldiers of Christ, and no soldier goes into battle already giving up. The Lord of host has both heavenly and earthly armies at His command. He can never be defeated-Romans 8:35, Romans 8:37, 1 Corinthians 2:16, 2 Timothy 2:4, Psalm 99:1.
The abundant life in Christ is a life of victorious faith. It is living this present life knowing that our lives and times are securely in God’s mighty hand. We are assured of God’s faithful keeping power and strategies for continuous victory in Jesus Christ through His word and wisdom through His Holy Spirit. Declare in faith today that the enemy cannot steal your joy in the Lord, boldly declare that he cannot kill your Christian testimony nor can he destroy your living faith in God. Our living faith is both a battle cry and a declaration of victory already obtained in Christ. There is no mountain too big or battle too fierce that we cannot overcome. There is no persecution that can defeat our living and unfeigned faith. Throughout the ages, Christians have declared victory through faith in Jesus Christ in sickness and in health, in lack and in plenty, in despondency and in joy, in life and in death. There is no victory in life and death without faith. May the Lord God, whose we are, continually rejoice over our unwavering faith that leads to victory through Jesus Christ-John 10:10, Zephaniah 3:17, 2 Corinthians 4:17, 2 Corinthians 4:18.
